147' <br />Dean McGowan from the Forest Lake Insurance Agency presented a listing of <br />insurance rates. Present policies of the village will be sent to McGowan <br />for comparison and further recommendation. <br />IA letter was read from the Circle Pines Utility Company. Ross moved we <br />officially receive the letter but hold for further action. Mr. Danheim <br />stated he was quite sure the Study would be finished by the 1st of April, <br />but felt definitely it would be done by April llth. The Council set a dead- <br />line for the feasibility report to be in by April llth at the next meeting, <br />or would have to assume the Utility Company wasn't interested in doing <br />further business with Lino Lakes. Second to above motion by Backlin, motion <br />carried. <br />James Hill approached the Council with a proposal to plat property on Elm <br />Street. He is to attend the Planning and Zoning meeting on April 20th, after <br />which they will return a recommendation for Council action. <br />Jerry Clausen asked the council what was being done on violations of our <br />Ordinance #32 and the keeping of car junk yards. Police are to follow through <br />with appropriate action and tag violators. Ross again suggested we have a <br />clean-up month to aid this situation. <br />Letter was read from the St. Paul Water Department with reference to the <br />public road crossing over St. Paul Water Department's right-of-way in Lino <br />Lakes Village. Letter was turned over to the attorney to compare with the <br />previous material received, and a recommendation will be ready for the April <br />llth meeting. <br />A letter was read from North Suburban Sanitary Sewer District regarding our <br />Ifuture interest in sewers. The letter was turned over to George Gotwald <br />who will provide the information requested. <br />Clerk reported on the telephone call from Peter Scherer, stating he had <br />turned the matter of getting his road fixed over to an attorney. Mr. Scherer <br />called from the hospital, but will try to attend the next meeting. Backlin <br />and the engineer will again check to see if anything can be done to repair <br />the road. <br />Backlin asked the attorney what had been decided upon for load limits on <br />village roads, and stated he felt 3-ton limits were needed. Locher will <br />try to complete this information by the next meeting. Special permits will <br />be given to the Forest Lake School buses. <br />Backlin also asked if any decision had ever been reached with Arnold Theis <br />on 77th Avenue. Locher will try again to contact the attorneyfor Theis. <br />Backoin suggested getting a blade for the small tractor. Domning moved we <br />purchase this blade, second by Backlin, motion carried. <br />Speiser reported two more lights are wanted on Rustic Lane and 1 on Gladstone. <br />Northern States Power will be contacted and asked to have someone at our <br />next meeting. <br />Gotwald reported he had talked to Schifsky about the blacktopping prices for <br />Ithe park, and that they would be slightly higher than the estimate last fall. <br />Speiser is going to contact a Mr. Torgelson who has information on someone <br />specializing in this type of work for county facilities at generally less than <br />contractor prices. <br />
