The Economic Advisory Board is preparing
the criteria for putting exclusive contracts in place. It was
generally agreed that Mr. Lappin should be granted the 30
extension.
Mr. Schumacher reviewed the balance of the agenda. He noted that
only three (3) of the five (5) Council Members will be present at
the June 22, 1992 meeting. Therefore, such items as action on
any zoning will have to be continued until the next meeting.
Council Member Neal explained that he had been approached by Ben
Hildestad requesting information regarding a settlement on the
Section 18 and 19 eminent domain situation. Mr. Hildestad owns
three (3) lots at the corner of Lake Drive and Second Avenue and
he says that the tax assessor has assigned a much greater value
on the lots than what was awarded during the eminent domain
process. Mr. Hildestad would like the value of the lots
corrected and his property taxes corrected as well. Mr.
Schumacher will check on this matter and give the information to
Council Member Neal.
Update Boat Access - Reshanau Park Estates
Mr. Schumacher explained that when Reshanau Lake Estates was
platted an outlot was platted for the use of the lot owners in
this subdivision. Plans were made to construct a marina and
other recreational activities on the site. Later it was
determined that some of the planned uses would cause some
community concern and development of the lot was postponed. The
developer has now given the homeowners association permission to
develop what they want on this lot. The homeowners association
would like to build a lake access for only the residents in
Reshanau Park Estates and this has caused some concerns for the
residents.
A meeting with the homeowners association was held last evening.
Progress was made toward solving this problem and plans were made
to meet again next week. A letter from the City Planner will be
distributed at this meeting giving options and how improvements
should proceed. During this time, the homeowners association
will be talking to their attorney about incorporating usage
restrictions on this lot into the homeowners deeds.
PAGE 2
91
