1
1
COUNCIL MEETING SEPTEMBER 14, 1992
and nothing that would "fly in small pieces ". The metal material
meets all of the qualifications. He noted that brick could be
used on areas close to the ground, however he would not want to
do the entire building in brick because of the possibility of
fragments flying in all directions.
It was noted that Fire Chief Bennett had reviewed the plan and
had no concerns regarding the construction of the building. The
Planning and Zoning Board also reviewed the plans and made no
comment regarding the use of metal siding. Ms. Wyland explained
that the only reference to metal siding in the City Code is in
areas addressing pole buildings. This would not be a pole
building. Ms. Wyland also noted that the Planning and Zoning
Board is in the process of reviewing this portion of the zoning
codes and will be asking for guidance from the City Council.
Council Member Kuether asked if brick could be placed on the
front of the building. Mr. Werkmeister explained that there is
no foundation for the building and no place to put the brick. He
also noted that usually landscaping is done to mask the building.
After discussing the type of siding to be used, the City Council
requested that Mr. Werkmeister prepare other options on siding
and a more detailed landscaping plan and bring this information
to the September 28, 1992 Council meeting.
Final Plat, Pheasant Hills Preserve, Second Addition - This is a
replat of Outlot C in Pheasant Hills Preserve. The new plat
contains nine (9) lots, street right -of -way and five (5) outlots.
Several revisions to the plat were requested by staff and the
Planning and Zoning Board. These revisions have been
incorporated into the final plat.
A developer's agreement has been signed, the financial
requirements have been completed and the project is under
construction.
Council Member Bergeson moved to approve the final plat of
Pheasant Hills Preserve, Second Addition. Council Member Kuether
seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
Final Plat, Reshanau Lake Estates South, Fifth Addition - This is
the final subdivision of the Reshanau Lake Estates South plat.
It consists of 25 lots on 11.12 acres of land. The final plat is
identical to the preliminary plat approved in 1991.
A 20 foot trail will be constructed from Fox Road to the Colonial
Woods subdivision for use in handling emergency vehicles and
PAGE 8
227
