- 50
COUNCIL MEETING FEBRUARY 22, 1993
Adams Outdoor Advertising Company will agree to remove the signs
with a 90 day notice. He also noted that his company is willing
to donate sign space to the City to promote the work of the
Economic Development Committee.
Mr. Hawkins explained that the proposed use of the land should be
harmous with the Comprehensive Land Use Plan and the Consulting
Planner has noted that billboards are prohibited. Mr. Wessel
explained that the Economic Development Committee will be meeting
in March to plan for the promotion of an identity for Lino Lakes.
He asked that the City allow his committee the opportunity to do
this before making a decision on the sign request.
Tom Schulte, representing Azure Property explained that it is
important to keep in mind that the site at I35E/County Road #14
is only one and three quarter (1 3/4) acres and all of,it is
wetland. Due to the status of this wetland and because the
parcel is very small, there probably will never be any
development on the site. He asked that a permit be denied.
Council Member Bergeson noted that the City Council has a
recommendation for denial from two (2) different boards and the
City Consulting Planner and felt that the City Council should
support them unless there is a great public need. Council Member
Bergeson moved to deny the Conditional Use Permit for Adams
Outdoor Sign Company. Council Member Kuether seconded the
motion. Motion carried unanimously.
PUBLIC HEARING, VACATION OF EASEMENT FOR DRIVEWAY PURPOSES IN
LAKES ADDITION NO. 2, RESOLUTION NO. 09 - 93
Mayor Reinert opened the public hearing at 8:52 P.M.
Ms. Wyland explained that in 1977 an easement was created for
ingress and egress purposes over Lot 30, Block 4, Lakes Addition
No. 2 to serve the double bungalow property constructed on Outlot
K, Lakes Addition No. 2. At that time the City Council
determined that when the property to the south (now known as
Black Duck Estates Second Addition) was platted, an access would
be provided through the newly created plat. Since Black Duck
Estates Second Addition has received final plat approval,
completion of White Birch Court is imminent, this easement will
no longer be necessary. An easement will be provided over Lot
17, Block 1, Black Duck Estates Second Addition by the property
owner, Marcel Eibensteiner, to provide ingress and egress to
Outlot K.
Mr. Eibensteiner, owner of Lot 17, Block 1 and Mr. Gary
PAGE 12
1
