1 1 COUNCIL MEETING NOVEMBER 22, 1993 Fund Budget reflect the more accurate figures. Resolution No. 90 - 93 outlines the 1993 General Fund Budget adjustments. Council Member Elliott moved to adopt Resolution No. 90 - 93 Amending the 1993 General Fund Budget and dispense with the reading. Council Member Neal seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Resolution No. 90 - 93 can be found at the end of these minutes. Set Public Hearing for Community Development Block Grant Re- allocation of Funds - The public hearing was set for December 13, 1993, 6:50 P.M. Consideration of Report of the Recount of the November 2, 1993 Election, Mayor's Race - Minnesota Election Laws require that after a recount has been conducted, the City Clerk shall prepare a summary of the recount and present the summary to the Canvassing Board (City Council) along with all challenged ballots. The Canvassing Board then rules on the challenged ballots and incorporates their totals into the summary statement totals. The recount took place Tuesday, November 16, 1993 at 2:00 P.M. All voted ballots were examined and none were challenged. Mayor Reinert picked up one (1) more vote because a voter had marked an "X" in the oval instead of coloring the entire oval. The vote counting machine counted the ballot as a blank ballot. The Anoka County Elections Division personnel who attended the recount expressed great satisfaction with the accuracy of the voting equipment. They not only credited the accuracy to the equipment but also to the election judges who were well trained and handled all aspects of the election properly. The City Clerk recommended that the Canvassing Board approve the summary statement as presented. Council Member Neal moved to accept the summary report as presented. Council Member Elliott seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. The City Council commended the City Clerk and the election staff for their work. Centennial Fire District Commission Report - Mayor Reinert attended the Steering Committee meeting and explained that a quorum was. not present.• However, members present at the meeting recommended that each City Council approve the Centennial Fire District memo dated November 19, 1993 which recommends that the Retirment pension be increased from $1,200.00 per year of service PAGE 11 31.E
