1 <br />1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING NOVEMBER 22, 1993 <br />Fund Budget reflect the more accurate figures. Resolution No. 90 <br />- 93 outlines the 1993 General Fund Budget adjustments. <br />Council Member Elliott moved to adopt Resolution No. 90 - 93 <br />Amending the 1993 General Fund Budget and dispense with the <br />reading. Council Member Neal seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 90 - 93 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />Set Public Hearing for Community Development Block Grant Re- <br />allocation of Funds - The public hearing was set for December 13, <br />1993, 6:50 P.M. <br />Consideration of Report of the Recount of the November 2, 1993 <br />Election, Mayor's Race - Minnesota Election Laws require that <br />after a recount has been conducted, the City Clerk shall prepare <br />a summary of the recount and present the summary to the <br />Canvassing Board (City Council) along with all challenged <br />ballots. The Canvassing Board then rules on the challenged <br />ballots and incorporates their totals into the summary statement <br />totals. <br />The recount took place Tuesday, November 16, 1993 at 2:00 P.M. <br />All voted ballots were examined and none were challenged. Mayor <br />Reinert picked up one (1) more vote because a voter had marked an <br />"X" in the oval instead of coloring the entire oval. The vote <br />counting machine counted the ballot as a blank ballot. <br />The Anoka County Elections Division personnel who attended the <br />recount expressed great satisfaction with the accuracy of the <br />voting equipment. They not only credited the accuracy to the <br />equipment but also to the election judges who were well trained <br />and handled all aspects of the election properly. <br />The City Clerk recommended that the Canvassing Board approve the <br />summary statement as presented. <br />Council Member Neal moved to accept the summary report as <br />presented. Council Member Elliott seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. The City Council commended the City Clerk <br />and the election staff for their work. <br />Centennial Fire District Commission Report - Mayor Reinert <br />attended the Steering Committee meeting and explained that a <br />quorum was. not present.• However, members present at the meeting <br />recommended that each City Council approve the Centennial Fire <br />District memo dated November 19, 1993 which recommends that the <br />Retirment pension be increased from $1,200.00 per year of service <br />PAGE 11 <br />31.E <br />
