1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 14, 1994 <br />Council Member Elliott moved to approve EDAAB Resolution No. 94 - <br />02 expanding the EDAAB from five (5) to seven (7) voting members. <br />Council Member Kuether seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />CONSIDERATION OF THE 1994 ANNUAL APPOINTMENTS <br />Mr. Schumacher explained that state statutes require that certain <br />annual appointments be made by the City Council to include <br />advisory board vacancies and liaison positions. The City Council <br />has interviewed a number of candidates for advisory board <br />vacancies. The names of these candidates, as well as persons <br />wishing to be reappointed to advisory board positions, have been <br />listed for the City Council to consider for the vacant advisory <br />board positions. In addition, the City Council is required to <br />appoint a legal newspaper. Several newspapers have submitted <br />proposals for the City Council to consider. <br />Mayor Reinert noted that the vacant positions have been <br />advertised two (2) different times. Many qualified residents <br />have been interviewed and during the interviews the City Council <br />asked them if the City could keep their names on file in the <br />event that another vacancy occurred. <br />Planning and Zoning Board (2 three year terms open) - Council <br />Member Elliott moved to reappoint James Schaps to a three (3) <br />year term. Council Member Kuether seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Council Member Neal moved to reappoint Thomas Mesich to a three <br />(3) year term. Council Member Elliott seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Parks and Recreation Board (3 three year terms open) - Council <br />Member Kuether moved to appoint Pamela Taschuk to a three (3) <br />year term. Council Member Bergeson seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to appoint Amy Donlin to a three (3) <br />year term. Council Member Elliott seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Council Member Elliott moved to appoint Sharon Lane to a three <br />(3) year term. Council Member Kuether seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Legal Newspaper - Council Member Neal moved to appoint the <br />Circulating Pines as the legal newspaper for 1994. Council <br />Member Elliott seconded the motion. Motion carried with Council <br />PAGE 9 <br />
