COUNCIL WORK SESSION JANUARY 3,1996 ANOKA COUNTY APPROVAL OF THE LINO LAKES HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (HRA) In 1995, the City was notified that Anoka County was drafting a HRA for the County. Cities without their own HRA were included in the County HRA and the County had announced that it would be placing a levy against each city in the County HRA for the operation of the HRA. The City of Lino Lakes decided to form its own HRA so that no tax dollars would leave the City for a HRA that may not address any of the housing issues in Lino Lakes. The City has been notified that Anoka County approved the Lino Lakes HRA. An organizational structure now must be determined. Mr. Schumacher will prepare organizational material and present the information to the Council at the next work session.
