COUNCIL WORK SESSION JANUARY 17, 1996 <br />contract with PDI to recruit new police officers. A new recruiting test has been validated <br />by the State and PDI is using this test. <br />Recently, the Police Department advertised for additional police officer candidates. <br />About 200 applications were received. The top candidates will be tested by PDI and a list <br />of eligible candidates will be prepared. This list will be good for up to one year. <br />This matter is on the January 22nd Council agenda. <br />CRIME FREE MULTI -HOUSING PROGRAM, CHIEF PECCHIA <br />A new Crime Free Multi -Housing Program has been introduced in Lino Lakes. A handout <br />describing the program was given to each Council Member. <br />CSO Jeannie Kenow has set up this program in the Baldwin Lake Court and it is working <br />very well. This is part of the course taken by CSO Kenow in Louisville Kentucky this <br />past year. <br />This item is for informational purposes only. <br />COUNCIL LIAISONS, RANDY SCHUMACHER <br />Mr. Schumacher gave each Council Member <br />Council liaisons. He discussed the pu <br />program. <br />Council decided to study <br />be drafted as well as gu <br />session agenda. <br />with proposed guidelines for <br />d outlined the merits of the <br />d r quested that guidelines for department heads <br />sons. This matter will be on the next Council work <br />LETTER FROM NE DAVIDSON ON THE PROPOSED <br />ENVIRONMENT ADVISORY BOARD, RANDY SCHUMACHER <br />The 20/20 Vision group proposed that the City Council form an Environmental Advisory <br />Board. A letter outlining the duties and areas of special interest for this group was given <br />to the Council. The Council will discuss the letter at the next work session. <br />REGULAR AGENDA <br />Rice Creek Regional Park - Council Member Bergeson advised Council that the Anoka <br />County Parks Department is doing some major reconstruction at the Chomonix Golf <br />Course and has allowed construction equipment on tracks to use City streets. They are <br />also dumping fill dirt on the streets. <br />Staff will follow-up on this matter. <br />PAGE 4 <br />
