COUNCIL WORK SESSION APRIL 3, 1996 <br />process and some did not. He suggested that the Council go through this process again <br />with all Council Members using the form. Council Member Kuether agreed. <br />Council Member Elliott felt that if the process was not going to be followed, then those <br />Council Members who did not use the form should have said that they were using a <br />different method of selection and not have made all the candidates come for an interview. <br />Mr. Don Dunn, 6885 Black Duck Drive, a candidate for the Planning and Zoning Board <br />agreed with Council Member Elliott. He felt that some Council Members were using the <br />candidate selection process to thank the people who supported them in the election last <br />fall. <br />Council Member Lyden explained that he was not excited by the vehicle used to select <br />board and committee members. After the interviews, he felt that all candidates had <br />something to offer, some more than others. He explained that he decided to vote for good <br />people and not against anyone. <br />Kim Sullivan, 7132 Whippoorwill Lane asked that the process r. If this discord on <br />the City Council co e no resident will apply for positions on these boards. <br />Council decided to vote on the same candidates on Monday evening. <br />SENIOR COTTAGES, ELM STREET <br />Council Member Neal explained that he has been receiving telephone calls from residents <br />complaining about the debris from the construction site. The debris is spreading onto <br />adjoining properties. <br />Council Member Neal also explained that he is moving into this new complex but has <br />been unable to find out when the cottages will be ready for occupancy. <br />Mr. Schumacher will call the owners of Avon Lumber Company in St. Cloud and find out <br />what is happening with the project. <br />PAGE 4 <br />
