COUNCIL MINUTES SEPTEMBER 23, 1996 <br />boundaries of the new Apollo Business Park replat. However, this resolution was worded so as <br />to express the City's intent to vacate easements not contained within the Apollo Park replat. This <br />issue came to light for the first time when a title search was conducted for the property being <br />purchased by Emergency Apparatus Maintenance. The intent of Resolution No. 96 - 129 is to <br />correct this error. <br />Council Member Bergeson moved to adopt Resolution No. 96 - 129, as presented. Council <br />Member Lyden seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 96 - 129 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT, DAVID AHRENS <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 96 -125 Approving Change Order #1 and Payment #6 <br />(final payment), Pumphouse #3 - Mr. Ahrens explained that construction of Pumphouse No. 3 <br />on the south side of Birch Street is complete and the contractor, Sheehy Construction, Inc., is <br />requesting payment on Pay Request No. 6 (final) of the contract. This final payment includes <br />Change Order No. 1, and will initiate the contractor's one-year warranty period. The final <br />contract costs are summarized as follows: <br />Original Contract Amount $391,300 <br />Change Order No. 1 7,988 <br />Total Contract Amount $399,288 <br />The change order includes extras for soil correction work, additional sod and miscellaneous <br />changes in hardware components for the building. Mr. Ahrens added that all lien waivers have <br />been received. <br />Council Member Lyden questioned the need for the change order. Mr. Ahrens explained the <br />need for additional work that was not specified in the original contract. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to adopt Resolution No. 96 - 125, as presented. Council <br />Member Bergeson seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 96 - 125 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 96 - 127 Requesting "No Parking" Signs, Main Street and <br />Areas Near Aenon Place - Mr. Ahrens explained that during large events at Lino Lakes <br />Elementary School, overflow parking occurs on Main Street near Aenon Place. The overflow <br />parking causes problems since it occurs within the right turn lane, and may be causing site <br />distance problems at the intersection of Main Street and Aenon Place. Resolution No. 96 - 127 <br />requests that the County of Anoka install "no parking" signs at the intersection to address these <br />problems. <br />6 <br />
