COUNCIL WORK SESSION OCTOBER 9,1996 <br />Mr. Workman noted the second biggest concern for Lino Lakes is safety. He suggested <br />that the City conduct weekly training to make haulers more aware of the concerns and <br />what could be done to eliminate some of them. <br />Council discussed Mr. Workman's suggestions and asked Ms. Constant to keep the <br />Council updated on this matter. <br />AMENDING THE SEWER AND WATER ORDINANCE, MARY VASKE <br />Currently, the City Code requires that if a septic system or a well fails, the home is <br />required to connect to the City sewer or water utility if these services are available. This <br />requirement may put a financial burden on the homeowner since they will be required to <br />connect to the utility service that the do not need. The Leese" septic system is failing and they are <br />contending that the City is at fault for allowing the home and the inadequate septic system <br />to be constructed on an unbuildable lot.
