• <br />• <br />• <br />COUNCIL MINUTES OCTOBER 14, 1996 <br />Council Member Kuether asked Mr. Hawkins about the ramifications of delaying passage of this <br />resolution. Mr. Hawkins responded that the improvements have been done, and in his opinion <br />the properties should be assessed. Therefore, the resolution should be acted upon. <br />Council Member Bergeson asked about the possibility of additional work being done should the <br />present arrangement not be agreeable to all parties. Mr. Ahrens indicated that the assessment <br />would be the same. <br />Although Council Member Kuether agreed with Council Member Lyden in theory, she indicated <br />her unwillingness to delay the development on this point. <br />Council Member Lyden then rescinded his motion to table consideration of Resolution No. 96 - <br />133. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to adopt Resolution No. 96 - 133, subject to no further issuance <br />of permits pending review by the City Engineer. Council Member Lyden seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 96 - 133 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />Resolution No. 96 -134, Adopting Assessment, Marshan Lake Condominiums - Mr. Ahrens <br />explained that this public hearing is related to the public utility improvements located <br />immediately east of Lake Drive and north of Aqua Lane. Assessments are summarized as <br />follows: <br />Construction costs - $660,000 <br />Area connection fund <br />Trunk sewer area and unit charges <br />Trunk water area and unit charges <br />Wear course fund <br />Total assessment amount of $1,041,936.15. <br />Council Member Kuether asked for the number of lots included in this project area. Mr. Ahrens <br />responded 136 units. <br />Mayor Landers opened the public hearing at 8:06 P.M. <br />There being no public input, Council Member Bergeson moved to close the public hearing at <br />8:07 P.M. Council Member Lyden seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to adopt Resolution No. 96 - 134, as presented. Council <br />Member Bergeson seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 96 - 134 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />Resolution No. 96 - 135, Adopting Assessment, Trapper's Crossing, Phase I - Mr. Ahrens <br />explained that this project is located on both sides of Holly Street and just west of 12th Avenue. <br />The assessments are summarized as follows: <br />Construction costs - $640,000 <br />
