COUNCIL WORK SESSION MARCH 5, 1997 <br />After further discussion Council decided that they were comfortable with the <br />recommendation but would, if needed, return to a full-time accountant in the future. <br />This item was added to the March 10th regular agenda. <br />EXPANDED HARASSMENT POLICY, DAN TESCH <br />Staff explained that although the current Harassment Policy contains all of the <br />information needed to address a harassment problem an expanded Harassment Policy was <br />prepared by Ms. Goering. The expanded Policy will be discussed at the March 10th <br />Council meeting. <br />Mr. Tesch gave the Council a packet containing the necessary information for creating a <br />personnel handbook. He asked Council to review the information. Staff explained that the proceeds from the bond <br />completely spent in a two (2) year time period as required by law. <br />Council discussed the timing of a referendum, possible sites for the athletic complex and <br />if the school districts would also be placing a referendum on the ballot this fall. There <br />was also a suggestion of placing several park development options on the referendum <br />rather than one large project. Mr. Lindy was opposed to having the citizens pick and <br />choose the projects. He felt that the biggest concern is obtaining land for the athletic <br />complex before all the large parcels disappear. <br />After further discussion, staff was directed to continue planning for a referendum and <br />determine if the public will support it. Staff will keep Council updated on this matter. <br />The Park Goals for 1997 was placed on the March 10th agenda. <br />PAGE 2 <br />• <br />• <br />
