COUNCIL WORK SESSION JUNE 4,1997 <br />DISCUSS RE -ALLOCATE 1994 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK <br />GRANT (CDBG) DOLLARS, RANDY SCHUMACHER <br />Staff explained that Lino Lakes has been asked to re -allocate some of its 1994 CDBG <br />funds. Some suggested uses were the Lino Lakes trail system, a "paint-a-thon" and <br />expenses involved with the house that was moved onto a City owned lot on Sunset Road. <br />Staff will prepare a proposal to consider at the regular Council meeting on Monday. <br />CONSIDER ORDINANCE NO. 12 - 97, SIGN ORDINANCE REVISION, MARY <br />KAY WYLAND <br />Staff has prepared a revision to the Sign Ordinance. Council will be given a handout that <br />shows items in the Ordinance that were changed, added or deleted. Staff would like to apply for a Livable Communities grant and <br />cannot do this until the Council approves District I. <br />Strip commercial zoning was discussed. It was noted that the 20/20 Vision Group <br />discouraged the City Council from developing strip malls. There was discussion <br />regarding whether or not Light Industrial zoning should occur along Lake Drive as well <br />as discussion regarding whether there was adequate right-of-way for Lake Drive. <br />This matter will be on the Council agenda for Monday evening. <br />PAGE 2 <br />
