• <br />• <br />• <br />COUNCIL WORK SESSION JANUARY 21, 1998 <br />Anoka Electric Cooperative is proposing to improve electrical service to the West Oaks <br />subdivision in the southeast corner of Lino Lakes. They are requesting that the City give <br />them an easement over Outlot A in which to place their utility wire. Directional boring <br />will be used to install the services which will minimize the impact on the area. In <br />exchange, Anoka Electric Cooperative will perform some "in kind" service in Lino <br />Lakes. <br />This matter is on the Council agenda for Monday evening. <br />CONSIDERATION OF ACCEPTING A TRAIL EASEMENT, CLEARWATER <br />CREEK, 2ND ADDITION, RICK DEGARDNER <br />Rick used the video player to show the Council the location of the proposed trail. It was <br />noted that the trail was platted on the west property line of that subdiviai&Nettrrently <br />there are some "old growth" trees in that area. Discussion followed -regarding the options <br />available for construction of the trail. If the trail is moved to the °west side of thy' tree line, <br />the trail will traverse through the back yard of a current reaidAghe developer would <br />have to buy an easement for the trail. If the trail remains as it is platted. the trees will <br />have to be removed. Rick noted that a referendum for a bond would <br />ance this entire project. <br />Staff was asked to verify that the offer for the land is a reasonable offer. Staff was also <br />asked to consult with the City Attorney regarding taking an option on the land at this time <br />to tie up the land.
