COUNCIL WORK SESSION APRIL 8, 1998
Avenue north of Main Street and for an water system interconnect between the two (2)
cities.
The Centerville City Council is considering this MOU at their meeting this evening.
The consensus of the Council is that they are not interested in extending 21st Avenue
north of Main Street at this time and the water system interconnect project should be
considered in a separate agreement at a later date.
There was discussion regarding whether the City of Centerville would withhold
agreement on the southern section of 21st Avenue until the City of Lino Lakes agreed to
the other two (2) MOU provisions. It was determined that if this happened, Lino Lakes
would go forward and construct the portion of 21st Avenue on the Lino Lakes side of the
border immediately.
Staff will contact the City of Centerville in the morning to determine enterville
City Council handled the MOU.
DISCUSS HODGSON ROAD (HIGHWAY 49)/LA 1 SA_ )
INTERSECTION PROJECT WETLAND REP CES"IREMENTS,
DAVE AHRENS
When the above referenced intersection wa
The Department of Natural Resour
destroyed be provided in a nearby
required wetland from a p in
approved wetlands
This matter will b
DISCUSS
AHRENS
d, some wetlands were impacted.
that double the amount of wetlands
mmending that the City purchase the
umbus Township who already has DNR
Ap 3, 1998 Council agenda.
RADING LIFT STATION NO. 4 (SUNRISE PARK) DAVE
The above referenced lift station was constructed in 1989 to serve a limited area. At this
time, larger pumps are needed to serve the expanded service area and the new
construction at the Correctional Facility. Since this lift station was constructed, the State
has nearly doubled the size of the Correctional Facility.
Staff is asking that the State fund 50% of the upgrade. Metropolitan Council is extending
a loan of approximately $40,000 and will turn the loan into a grant if the City meets
certain conditions. The balance of the funding for this improvement will come from the
Area and Unit Fund.
This matter will be on the April 13, 1998 Council agenda.
JOYCE FLOODING CONCERNS, ANDY NEAL
PAGE 6
•
•
