CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION APRIL 21, 1999 <br />Mayor Sullivan advised that a motion and a second are needed to end a debate. <br />Mayor Sullivan stated that with a new person in the Clerk/Treasurer position, it may be <br />desirable to remove the Treasurer's responsibilities from the job description. A letter <br />should be sent to the Charter Commission asking them to amend the Charter in this area.. <br />DISCUSS OPTION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND BLAINE <br />AMERICAN LEGION <br />Ms. Waite _Smith stated the City Attorney would like the Council to be informed of the <br />following aspects of the agreement: <br />1. The amount of money paid in exchange for the option is non refundable: but <br />will be applied to the purchase price in the event of a sale. <br />2. Section 1.1 - The appraisal amount must be approved uncil <br />can determine the amount of sale regardless of the ap <br />3. A recommendation from the <br />Metropolitan Council will be reviewed at the June 21, 1999, Council work session. <br />Mr. Smyser distributed a memo titled MUSA Needs For New Growth and Existing <br />Homes and reviewed the memo in detail. <br />2 <br />
