COUNCIL MINUTES AUGUST 23, 1999 <br />Council Member Lyden moved to approve the request for a block party, Caribou Circle, as <br />• presented. Council Member Neal seconded the motion. <br />PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT, SERGEANT BILL HAMMS <br />There was no Public Safety Department report. <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT REPORT, BRIAN WESSEL <br />SECOND READING, Ordinance No. 20 - 99, Rezoning from Neighborhood Business to <br />General Business, Lots 12, 13, 14, 15, Block 2, Carole's Estates 2nd Addition, Jeff Smyser <br />(4/5 Vote) - Staff advised the first reading for this ordinance was approved by the City Council <br />on July 26, 1999. <br />This ordinance will rezone four (4) acres (four (4) lots of approximately one acre each) of City - <br />owned property from NB Neighborhood Business to GB General Business. The old police <br />station is on one lot, and the City Council approved the authorization t lot to the <br />American Legion. <br />Council Member Neal moved to approve the SECOND REA mance No. 20 - 99, as <br />presented. Council Member Lyden seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 99 - 59, Letter of Support of 35W/Lake Drive Interchange Funding Request, <br />John Powell - Staff advised Anoka County is preparing a Federal Surface Transportation <br />Program funding request for the reconstruction of the I-35W/Lake Drive interchange. To <br />document they have coordinated their efforts with the local agencies, including the City of Lino <br />Lakes; they have requested a letter from the City indicating its support of their funding request. <br />
