CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION JANUARY 5, 2000 <br />The majority of Council supported City staff acting as a go between during negotiations <br />based on the condition that both parties submit their approval in writing. <br />CONSIDER REQUEST TO RE -ASSIGN NEW ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT <br />LINDA WAITE SMITH <br />Staff distributed a memo regarding the approval of a new administrative assistant for the <br />Administrative Services Department in the 2000 -operating budget. Staff indicated the <br />position is needed more in the Community Development Department. The Community <br />Development Department is the only department that does not have at least one full-time <br />dedicated clerical support position. <br />Staff requested the Council do the following: <br />1. Authorize the transfer of the budgeted amounts for the Administrative <br />Services administrative assistant position and related computer equipment to <br />the Community Development Department. <br />2.
