• <br />• <br />• <br />COUNCIL MINUTES MARCH 13, 2000 <br />Staff advised the City has made it clear to the DNR that it won't be renewing or revising the <br />preservation development program. The City does want the DNR's opinion on the process. The <br />DNR is also interested in hearing about the City's plans and policies. The DNR will not be making <br />changes to those policies. The City is in no way committing to the DNR regulating the City's <br />documentation regarding ordinances or policies. <br />Council Member O'Donnell moved to adopt Resolution No. 2000 — 29, as presented. Council <br />Member Dahl seconded the motion. <br />Council Member O'Donnell advised he did not see anything in the documentation that indicates the <br />City must adhere to the DNR's recommendations. <br />Staff advised the City does not have to adhere to the DNR's recommendations. The priority is to <br />better define terms in the inventory system, clarify greenway issues, and look at soils and water <br />quality. The program would improve the City's current GIS System. <br />Council Member Dahl inquired about other cities involved in the prog ff advised the City of <br />Lino Lakes and Hugo have been the first cities approached. <br />Council Member Dahl advised she would also like a Plannin n' Board recommendation. <br />She asked if all City Boards would be involved with the <br />Staff advised more than one City Board will be i ith t program including the <br />Environmental Board. <br />Staff continued stating the progr EL n n"ental Board issue. Council Member Dahl seconded the <br />d unanimously. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 2000 — 29 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT REPORT, DAN TESCH <br />Consider Resolution No. 00 — 24, Cable Franchise Extension (3/4 Vote Required), Dan Tesch — <br />Staff advised the North Metro Cable Commission has recommended to it's member cities that they <br />extend the cable television franchise agreement with Media One to November 20, 2000. This will <br />give Media One and the Commission the time necessary to renegotiate the franchise agreement. <br />MediaOne has agreed to the extension. All terms and provisions of the current agreement will stay in <br />effect during the extension. <br />4 <br />
