The letter <br />included a copy of the plat showing approximately where the pool would be placed. <br />Council Member O'Donnell stated the variance request at 9 feet was black and white. He <br />advised he visited the property and evaluated the overall benefits of granting the variance. <br />He stated that he believes a partial 4 -foot wall is more of an obstacle than what is already <br />on the property. A variance of 3-4 feet is more of a gray area. He noted the staff <br />recommendation of denial stands. He stated the enjoyment of the family is also important <br />and should be considered. <br />Council Member Reinert stated a hardship has been caused to the applicant due to the <br />easement being on a large part of their property. The variance request is down to 4 feet <br />and should not be that big an issue. <br />Council Member O'Donnell requested more facts regarding drainage of the .00l and <br />comments from neighbors. <br />Mrs. O'Fallon advised the neighbors have indicated they will si s e ' owing <br />support for the pool. She stated she will give the City docu t ing <br />emergency drainage and removal of the pool.
