• <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION JUNE 21, 2000 <br />Mayor Bergeson asked if there are multiple providers in the blue area. <br />Mr. Keinath advised there are overlapping providers along Lake Drive and Rice Lake <br />Drive. He noted that currently Minnegasco is providing service to the Centennial School <br />District without a contract. The difference between NSP and Circle Pines Utilities is a <br />higher level of service. <br />Mayor Bergeson advised he attended the negotiations with the City Administrator. He <br />advised the goal is to have resolution by the end of the summer. <br />Mr. Vern Reinert came forward and advised he is the representative for Lino Lakes <br />relating to the Circle Pines Utilities Commission. He stated his goal is to get a fair and <br />equal distribution of gas for residents at a fair price. He stated that at one point in the <br />negotiations, an agreement regarding service areas was looked at. Staff reviewed <br />the memo, which explained the proposal that was discussed with the two- (2) property <br />owners at the end of Blackduck Drive. Both property owners have indicated a <br />willingness to sell property to the City to provide a public trail. Staff requested Council <br />approval to present the proposal to the Homeowners Association that is outlined in the <br />memo. <br />Council Member Carlson asked if the proposed trail would run through the Homeowners <br />Associations outlots. Staff advised the trail will run through the Association's outlot. <br />
