CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION NOVEMBER 22, 2000 <br />Council Member Reinert asked where the action is in the resolution. He stated all four <br />(4) agencies should sign on with a schedule of meetings. Ramsey County should be <br />approached first. He stated the goal of having all four (4) agencies sign should be added <br />to the resolution. <br />Council Member Carlson stated that may invalidate the resolution if Anoka County won't <br />sign it. She asked for support to vote on the resolution as is except to change the name of <br />the City and add "to meet and" after the word encourage in paragraph 4 of the resolution. <br />The City Engineer advised MnDOT and the Metropolitan Council need to be a part of <br />this. <br />Council Member Carlson stated MnDOT and the Metropolitan Council can be involved. <br />The City can send them a copy of the resolution. She stated she would prefer that the <br />other two -(2) agencies were not tied into the resolution. The Court embers were <br />elected to represent the citizens. <br />Staff stated the City could designate someone from the C <br />Counties have to be at the meetings. The Council needs to vote on an actionable item. He indicated he is not sure <br />than the City has a specific proposal to put on the agenda. <br />Staff advised the resolution can say that the Council has reviewed the options and do not <br />believe they meet the citizens needs. The City can request that more options are <br />presented that addresses all concerns. <br />Council Member O'Donnell expressed concern regarding voting on the options and the <br />impact that may have on the first resolution. A formal action on the options is not <br />necessary. He stated the four -(4) agencies should get together and develop a compromise. <br />
