CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION DECEMBER 6, 2000 <br />URBAN INTERFACE UPDATE, MARTY ASLESON <br />Staff advised they have spoke to Ms. Peggy Sand regarding this issue. Ms. Sand <br />indicated this project is taking longer than expected but she feels the City can still <br />participate. <br />Staff also noted that the DNR has indicated they will help with any language issues <br />regarding new City ordinances relating to the environment. <br />Mayor Bergeson suggested the possibility of having a joint meeting between the Council <br />and Environmental Board. <br />PROPOSED WEST SHADOW PONDS TRAIL, JEFF SMYSER <br />Staff advised the trail location was discussed at the November 8, 20 •. ncil work <br />session. At that time the Council requested the developer disc t with the <br />affected property owners. The developer has submitted a r �� �.� �� d � pith a new <br />location for the trail. Residents typically <br />put in their own fence if they want one. He suggested splitting the difference between the <br />two (2) lots and developing a 221/2' foot trail corridor. He added that he has paid $44,000 <br />for park trails. He stated he will work with Mr. DeGardner regarding the land transfer. <br />Council Member Carlson noted the plan shows barricades instead of a cul-de-sac. The <br />City Engineer advised a discussion will be held at the next work session regarding that <br />issue. He noted the $44,000 paid by the developer was not for trails. <br />Council directed staff to move forward with a 221/2 ` trail corridor with the understanding <br />that the trail location is clearly indicated. <br />2 <br />
