COUNCIL MINUTES JANUARY 8, 2001 The cost of market adjustments was not included in the 2001 operating budget and will have to be absorbed by the departments. Cost of living adjustments were included in the budget. Mayor Bergeson clarified that the percentages are not performance based. Staff advised the percentages relate only to the average salary for each position. Council Member Reinert moved to approve the recommended 2001 salary adjustments for non-union employees, as presented. Council Member Carlson seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Resolution No. 01— 03, Consideration of Annual Appointments, Linda Waite Smith — Staff advised each year the City Council is required to make a number of appointments. Appointments of individuals to advisory boards took place at the last meeting of 2000. Staff referred to a list of appointments that still need to be made. Mayor Bergeson suggested Council approve the appointments of staff recommendations. The Council prerogative appointments should be deleted from the list and i�i� �� at a Council work . session.
