CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION FEBRUARY 7, 2001 <br />Council Member Dahl asked if the plan on display is the PDO. She also asked if Mr. <br />Goertz has a plan for the single-family development. <br />Mr. Goertz advised the plan is the PDO. He indicated he does have a very rough plan for <br />the single-family development. The PDO includes 31 single-family units and 48 <br />multiples. The single-family plan includes 60 single-family homes. He stated he would <br />like to plat an outlot for future commercial development. The single-family development <br />would have a different density and not have as much open space. <br />Mayor Bergeson inquired about the intentions for the outlot. Mr. Goertz stated it is <br />intended that the current business stays in place. A design plan will be presented when <br />the Comprehensive Plan is completed. The design will depend on the type of zoning. <br />Mayor Bergeson inquired about the street to the east of the property. Mr. Goertz pointed <br />out the street and stated he has met with the County. The street would match up to Ware <br />Road. The exit to Highway 49 would be right in right out only. <br />Powell advised the City would want the roadway to line up wit <br />Mayor Bergeson inquired about a new road to Highway s ° a• d a right in right <br />out only is consistent with the County's plan. <br />Council Member Carlson asked if there woul <br />the County had indicated it is possible <br />want the road to be aligned even if a <br />accesses on Birch Street may b, <br />Mr. Goertz noted the lo <br />ligat Ware Road. She <br />stated the plan is premature because the Comprehensive Plan is not completed. <br />Mayor Bergeson stated the City does have some density issues related to the <br />Comprehensive Plan. There are going to be some multi -family homes somewhere within <br />the City. He stated he sees no problem with mixing up single, twins and triple homes. <br />He noted the City has that on the north side. <br />Council Member Carlson asked how the City owned property will affect the plan noting <br />the City may sell it to the County. Mr. Goertz stated he has discussed the possibility of a <br />land swap with the County. <br />Council Member Carlson advised Mr. Goertz to request a change to the land use map <br />before the Comprehensive Plan is completed. <br />4 <br />
