CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION FEBRUARY 7, 2001 <br />Council Member Carlson stated the company has indicated they must start their work at <br />4:00 a.m. to get their trucks out. She added that the City needs a copy of the latest OSHA <br />regulations. <br />Mr. Miller stated the equipment the neighbors are most concerned with does not relate to <br />loading and getting their trucks out on time. <br />Mayor Bergeson stated the Council needs time to review the packet from Mr. Miller and <br />give staff time to research the conditions of approval for their permit. A report will be <br />made to the Council. He urged the residents to attend the Planning and Zoning Board <br />meeting and make comments before a decision is made on the CUP. <br />Mr. Gordon Cable advised the Council he has called Molin approximately 35 times. <br />Molin will not return his calls. The problems have been going on for 2'h years. <br />CHRIS LYDEN VARIANCE, JEFF SMYSER <br />Mr. Chris Lyden, 6275 Holly Drive, came forward and referre s „ ce request for <br />a pole barn structure. He stated the variance was denied at i` Zoning <br />Board meeting on a 3-3 split with one abstaining. He as ` o i to consider that <br />Mr. Corson voted nay because the product EIFS wa . He distributed a <br />copy of information regarding EIFS and stated red flags relating to this <br />product. He stated he knows the Council is c with maintaining the spirit of the <br />ordinance and being fair. He stated Trgot a variance and there are other <br />neighborhoods that have not been ere is also a pole barn at the end of <br />Holly Court. He stated it wou rant his variance. He invited Council <br />Members to come and vie the roposed structure. <br />Mayor Bergeson i .3 red ut a time restriction for the variance request. Staff advised <br />a decision does no <r . made until March 13, 2001, to meet the deadline. <br />Council Member 0' nnell stated he visited the site and looked at the surrounding area. <br />There are only two (2) homes that would have visibility to the structure. Both those <br />neighbors have indicated they have no objections to the structure. He stated he can see <br />the risk of constructing a standard structure building on this property. He advised that he <br />believes the building would be a good fit and he will support the variance request. <br />Council Member Carlson asked how the proposed structure compares with the pole barn <br />on Holly Court. Mr. Lyden advised the structure on Holly is a Mortan building with the <br />highest quality materials. He stated the proposed Walter building has the same specs as <br />Mortan building. <br />Council Member Carlson requested information regarding the variance request for the <br />structure on Holly Court. <br />
