COUNCIL MINUTES FEBRUARY 12, 2001 <br />Council Member O'Donnell moved to close the public hearing at 6:42 p.m. Council Member Dahl <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Council Member Dahl moved to adopt Resolution No. 01— 20, as presented. Council <br />Member Carlson seconded the motion. ;. a ... `. imously. <br />ADMINISTRATION DEPART :OR , DAN TESCH <br />Resolution No. 01— 25, C E ding the Term of the Cable Franchise Granted to <br />MediaOne AT&T Br.ba Administration Director Tesch advised the cable television <br />franchise under which : dband is currently operating will expire on February 28, 2001. <br />While the City's negoti g am is making progress, the franchise document itself will not be <br />completed by February • ', 2001. Approval of Resolution No. 01 — 25 will extend the franchise 90 <br />days. Staff will present the new franchise agreement for Council approval when negotiations are <br />completed. <br />Council Member Carlson moved to adopt Resolution No. 01 — 25, as presented. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 01 — 25 can be found in the City Clerk's office. <br />Consider Approval of AFSCME Contract, Linda Waite Smith (3/5 Vote Required) — City <br />Administrator Waite Smith advised negotiation of a proposed 2001 labor contract with the AFSCME <br />bargaining unit has been completed. The union membership voted to ratify the proposed contract last <br />week. The City Council needs to ratify it before it can be completed. <br />
