COUNCIL MINUTES FEBRUARY 12, 2001 <br />Changes from the previous contract include: <br />1. A three (3) percent cost of living adjustment, retroactive to January 1, 2001. <br />2. Inclusion of two (2) additional positions (actually existing positions that were re- <br />classified based on current duties): Office Manager -Public Services and Accounting <br />Clerk -Utility Billing/PC Technician. <br />3. Providing a uniform allowance for the two (2) Building Inspectors and one <br />Environmental Specialist ($355 annually, the same as the Local 49 contract provision <br />4. Market Adjustments to three (3) positions: Secretary C, 2%; Senior Coordinator, 4%; <br />Community Service Officer, 4%. <br />Council Member Reinert moved to approve the proposed 2001 labor contract with AFSCME, as <br />presented. Council Member Dahl seconded the motion. In order to facilitate the <br />sharing of information, it was ,-s` o ins all wide are network equipment and access circuits. <br />Initially it was anticipated tinstalling the wide area network would be borne by the <br />individual cities. <br />As the Central Records je progressed an opportunity became available to partner with the State <br />to pilot the implemental of the new, State funded, Criminal Justice Data Network (CJDN). The <br />CJDN will eventually provide high speed data access to every police department in the State of <br />Minnesota. As a part of the CJDN project the State provided the TI access circuit and necessary <br />network hardware and allowed the department to add additional bandwidth to meet the needs of the <br />Central Records Project. This arrangement will save the police department approximately $200 per <br />month on the wide area network connection to the police departments in Anoka County. <br />Chief Pecchia requested approval of Resolution No. 01 — 24 authorizing the execution and delivery of <br />a Joint Powers Agreement relating to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Criminal Justice <br />Data Communication Network. <br />Council Member Dahl moved to adopt Resolution No. 01— 24, as presented. Council Member <br />O'Donnell seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />• <br />
