COUNCIL MINUTES FEBRUARY 26, 2001 <br />• Motion carried unanimously. <br />• <br />• <br />Ordinance No. 03 — 01 can be found in the City Clerk's office. <br />FIRST READING, Ordinance No. 04 — 01, Amending Zoning Ordinance to Allow Accessory <br />Buildings in Industrial and Commercial District, (4/5 Vote Required), Jeff Smyser — City <br />Planner Smyser advised staff has prepared an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance pertaining to <br />accessory buildings in the commercial and industrial zoning districts based on discussion at the <br />January Planning and Zoning Board meeting. The Planning and Zoning Board held a public hearing <br />on the draft ordinance at their February 13, 2001, meeting and recommended adoption of the <br />Ordinance. <br />The proposed ordinance would allow only one accessory building a maximum of 400 square feet in <br />area. Roof height would be limited to 12' and district setbacks would apply. No site plan review <br />would be required, but a standard building permit may be required peri. Uniform Building Code. <br />Roof and exterior color and material is to be compatible with the eilding. Acting Mayor Dahl voted yea. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 01— 32, Requesting a Reduction of the Speed Limit on Hodgson Road (CSAH <br />49), John Powell — City Engineer Powell advised Anoka County is in the process of developing plans <br />for the reconstruction of Hodgson Road (CSAH 49) from just south of County Road J to Lake Drive. <br />Consistent with Resolution No. 00 —121, the City Council has indicated they do not approve of the <br />design options presented to date and wants to develop additional safe options. The road is currently <br />posted at 50 miles per hour, this speed is being used by Anoka County as the design speed.
