CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION APRIL 4, 2001 <br />development team has a commitment for a bank and two (2) possible retailers. The <br />current plan does not include any changes to 77th Street. Off-site mitigation will be <br />required. <br />Mayor Bergeson asked if there would be retail in the McDonalds site. Economic Director <br />Wessel advised the Council would make that decision after the property is acquired. The <br />site is a prime location for commercial. The developer may be interested in purchasing <br />that property. <br />Council Member Carlson asked if the County has agreed to a second access and inquired <br />about stoplights. City Engineer Powell advised the County has not agreed yet to a second <br />access to the site. There will not be stoplights at 77th Street. The second access will have <br />stoplights. The Rice Creek Watershed District has not yet agreed to off-site mitigation. <br />There is a 2 to 1 requirement for mitigation. <br />Council Member O'Donnell inquired about any incentives the • velop has requested. <br />Economic Development Director Wessel stated the develop w•e cw 'ng to the City <br />for incentives.
