CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION APRIL 18, 2001 <br />City Planner Smyser advised that depends on what the particular zoning law says. He <br />stated he needs to check and see what the ordinance says. He stated he would prefer the <br />Comprehensive Plan show low-density sewer for single family homes. <br />Council Member Dahl clarified the current plan shows 52 lots. <br />Mayor Bergeson stated he is fine with single family housing in that area. He stated he <br />hopes the City does not eliminate all multi -housing designations within the City because <br />multi -housing is needed. He added he does not believe that well constructed townhomes <br />adjacent to single family homes is necessarily a problem. The City Attorney had previously clarified <br />that he does not feel a commercial/industrial park dedication fee is justifiable. Staff <br />cannot address the question relating to the bond issue and athletic complex. <br />City Administrator Waite Smith suggested the possibility of having a referendum for <br />parks that should have already been developed and use park dedication fees for the <br />athletic complex. <br />6 <br />
