COUNCIL MINUTES APRIL 23, 2001 <br />Mayor Bergeson noted representatives from the City of Lino Lakes were present at the Steering <br />Committee meeting. <br />Council Member O'Donnell inquired about the life expectancy of the new truck. Fire Chief Bennett <br />advised the expected life of the new truck is twenty years. <br />Council Member Carlson clarified that the money to purchase the truck is already set aside. Fire <br />Chief Bennett added that the money for the truck would be in the bank account by the delivery date of <br />the new truck. <br />Council Member Carlson moved to award the bid for a new fire truck to General Safety, as presented. <br />Council Member Dahl seconded the motion. Council Member <br />O'Donnell seconded the motio• tcarried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 01— 54 c <br />COMMUNITY DEVEL <br />be 'n the City Clerk's office. <br />T DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />Resolution No. 01— 55, Approving Variance for 6641 East Shadow Drive, (3/5 Vote Required), <br />Jeff Smyser — City Planner Smyser advised Mr. Steve Dahlstrom has submitted an application for a <br />variance from the side yard setback requirement in an R-1 zoning district. He wants to construct a <br />large addition to his existing house. The setback requirement for a garage differs from the setback for <br />the house. Mr. Dahlstrom's addition includes garage space on the main level with additional <br />bedrooms over the garage. This living space must meet the larger setback, which is the reason a <br />variance is needed. <br />City Planner Smyser presented the staff analysis of the application noted staff recommends approval <br />of the variance request. <br />As stated in the zoning ordinance, in considering all requests for variance and in taking subsequent <br />action, the City shall make a finding of fact: <br />4 <br />
