That granting the variance requested will not confer on the applicant any special <br />privilege that would be denied by this ordinance to other lands, structures, or buildings <br />in the same district. <br />5. That the proposed actions will be in keeping with the spirit and intent of the ordinance. <br />City Planner Smyser advised the size of the existing home meets tandards, but an addition <br />to a two (2) bedroom house is not unusual, nor is putting bedro•�s r g.ge space. The design <br />incorporates the existing structure layout to maximize the us :.f t ;r e , g structure. Current <br />housing space demands typically require more than 1000 s unreasonable to require the <br />second story to step back from the lower level wall. <br />Pie -shaped lots on cul-de-sacs present special ch.. , tho h they are not unique. Economic <br />considerations are not at issu <br />Council Member Carlson anning and Zoning Board did recommend approval of the <br />variance. <br />Council Member Reinert moved to adopt Resolution No. 01— 55, as presented. Council Member <br />O'Donnell seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 01 — 55 can be found in the City Clerk's office. <br />Resolution No. 00 — 58, Receive Study for 2002 — 2003 Street Reconstruction, (3/5 Vote <br />Required), John Powell — Upon adoption of the agenda, this item was removed. <br />Resolution No. 01— 59, Receive Study and Set Hearing for 2001, 21st Avenue Street and Utility <br />Improvements, (3/5 Vote Required), John Powell — City Engineer Powell advised at the March 12, <br />2001, City Council meeting, a study was ordered to evaluate the construction of roadways and storm <br />sewer and the associated costs on 21st Avenue, south of Main Street, and a portion of Northern Lights <br />Boulevard. The report is being delivered this evening and staff is requesting the Council receive the <br />
