CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION AUGUST 8, 2001 <br />Mayor Bergeson reconvened the meeting at 6:43 p.m. <br />TOWN CENTER UPDATE, BRIAN WESSEL <br />Update on Lino Lakes Marketplace — Economic Development Director Wessel advised <br />staff is recommending the Business Subsidy be continued to the August 27, 2001, City <br />Council meeting. Action will need to be taken August 27. <br />Mayor Bergeson stated the Council should think about scheduling another meeting before <br />August 27. <br />Council directed the City Administrator to speak to Council Members about scheduling <br />an additional meeting before August 27. <br />Community Development Director Grochala stated there are three (3 actions for Monday <br />night: PDO rezoning, preliminary development plan and preli t There are <br />modifications because the site plan has changed. More info on e PDO will be <br />distributed in the Friday updates. Many of the issues withk Watershed <br />District have been worked through. The preliminary p ons=with a PDO. He <br />referred to a copy of the preliminary plat, site plan an g plan -noting copies are <br />included in the staff report. She asked if <br />residents in the area can e notified. Community Development Director Grochala stated <br />residents can be notified if Council directs staff to do so. The plan is a preliminary plat <br />and final plat approval will be necessary probably in October. <br />City Administrator Waite Smith stated it would be very difficult to get notices out <br />tomorrow. <br />Community Development Director Grochala noted notices will go out with the feasibility <br />study. A public hearing will be held on the PDO. <br />Mayor Bergeson stated residents are affected but probably more affected are the business <br />owners.
