CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION AUGUST 8, 2001 Mayor Bergeson reconvened the meeting at 6:43 p.m. TOWN CENTER UPDATE, BRIAN WESSEL Update on Lino Lakes Marketplace — Economic Development Director Wessel advised staff is recommending the Business Subsidy be continued to the August 27, 2001, City Council meeting. Action will need to be taken August 27. Mayor Bergeson stated the Council should think about scheduling another meeting before August 27. Council directed the City Administrator to speak to Council Members about scheduling an additional meeting before August 27. Community Development Director Grochala stated there are three (3 actions for Monday night: PDO rezoning, preliminary development plan and preli t There are modifications because the site plan has changed. More info on e PDO will be distributed in the Friday updates. Many of the issues withk Watershed District have been worked through. The preliminary p ons=with a PDO. She asked if residents in the area can e notified. Community Development Director Grochala stated residents can be notified if Council directs staff to do so. The plan is a preliminary plat and final plat approval will be necessary probably in October. City Administrator Waite Smith stated it would be very difficult to get notices out tomorrow. Community Development Director Grochala noted notices will go out with the feasibility study. A public hearing will be held on the PDO. Mayor Bergeson stated residents are affected but probably more affected are the business owners. A packet can be sent out to the business owners. 5
