CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION AUGUST 22, 2001 <br />Council Member Carlson stated she is concerned about the amount of money being <br />requested and the rezoning to a PDO. She stated she needs more discussion before a <br />decision can be made. Too much money is being requested and there are concerns <br />relating to the plat. <br />Finance Director Rolek stated staff has been in negotiations for many hours relating to the <br />abatement. Staff has gone as far as they can with Ryan Companies. <br />Council Member O'Donnell stated the Council does need to understand the road costs. <br />Finance Director Rolek noted that on a $175,000 dollar home, $2001 per year of the <br />City's tax portion would not be reduced immediately. <br />Council Member Carlson referred to information regarding other an what financial <br />assistance Target received from them.
