CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION NOVEMBER 21, 2001 City Engineer Powell stated that after the meeting Monday night, he will ask the County to develop the most narrow road plan that is acceptable and then the Council can vote on it. DISCUSSION WITH COUNCIL AND ED VAUGHN Mr. Ed Vaughn came forward and stated he needs to be included in the MUSA on an island he owns. He asked what the process is to obtain the MUSA. City Planner Smyser advised Mr. Vaughn has submitted an appl island. Staff has been reviewing that application. Letters have bee indicating the application is incomplete. He m Mr. Vaughn's engineer regarding the was sent out yesterday and a copy -will be faxed to the SHIRLEY KAYE IGHTING, JEFF SMYSER City Planner Smyser a ised when the Shirley Kaye's project was reviewed there were no lights proposed in the parking lot. There was a discussion of lighting in relation to the lake. The Police Department has since expressed concern regarding safety in the parking lot. Staff would like to contact Shirley Kaye's to discuss the lighting issue. Staff would prefer that they do not have to do the whole site plan review for just the lighting. The Environmental Board and Planning and Zoning Board are agreeable to that as long as the lighting meets the City ordinance. The City does not typically review lighting plans apart from the original site plan review. Council directed staff to work directly with Shirley Kay's regarding the lighting issue.
