CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION NOVEMBER 21, 2001 <br />City Engineer Powell stated that after the meeting Monday night, he will ask the County <br />to develop the most narrow road plan that is acceptable and then the Council can vote on <br />it. <br />DISCUSSION WITH COUNCIL AND ED VAUGHN <br />Mr. Ed Vaughn came forward and stated he needs to be included in the MUSA on an <br />island he owns. He asked what the process is to obtain the MUSA. <br />City Planner Smyser advised Mr. Vaughn has submitted an appl <br />island. Staff has been reviewing that application. There was a discussion of lighting in relation to the <br />lake. The Police Department has since expressed concern regarding safety in the parking <br />lot. Staff would like to contact Shirley Kaye's to discuss the lighting issue. Staff would <br />prefer that they do not have to do the whole site plan review for just the lighting. The <br />Environmental Board and Planning and Zoning Board are agreeable to that as long as the <br />lighting meets the City ordinance. The City does not typically review lighting plans apart <br />from the original site plan review. <br />Council directed staff to work directly with Shirley Kay's regarding the lighting issue. <br />
