CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION DECEMBER 5, 2001 <br />Mayor Bergeson asked if there are parts of the existing ordinance that will naturally <br />transfer over to the new ordinance. Community Development Director Grochala advised <br />key issues will be the focus. There are some details of the old ordinance that will transfer <br />to the new ordinance. <br />Mayor Bergeson stated some Councilmembers have concerns over the moratorium and <br />the length of the moratorium. Community Development Director Grochala stated the <br />intent is to have the new ordinances in effect before the moratorium expires. The <br />moratorium will go into effect in late February if it is adopted on schedule. <br />Mayor Bergeson stated that this process assumes the Metropolit <br />the Comprehensive Plan. Citizens will have the opportunity to <br />make comments at specified times. <br />Councilmember Reinert stated the Comprehensive Plan is needed first and then the <br />outline of what is needed with a timeframe.
