COUNCIL MINUTES JUNE 24, 2002 <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Councilmember Reinert moved to adopt Resolution No. 02-61, Awarding the Sale of $2,110,000 <br />Taxable G.O. Improvement Bonds, Series 2002B. Councilmember Dahl seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolutions No. 02-60 and No. 02-61 can be found in the City Clerk's office. <br />ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT REPORT, DAN TESCH <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 02-62, Pledging Support for a Voting Equipment Grant <br />Application — Ann Blair, City Clerk Blair advised a Voting E e ' . ment Grant Account was created <br />in the State Treasury to provide grants to political subdivisions i esota for the purchase of <br />precinct based optical scan ballot tabulation equipment. <br />City Clerk Blair indicated, in March of 2000, the City purc ` ed s Accu -Vote machines, one for <br />each precinct. However, the voting equipment grant is •p. 'ty for the City to purchase a <br />"back-up" unit for that election day when a system br • awn. The cost of an Accu -Vote system is <br />$4883.00. The amount of the grant request is $2,4a 0, wi"' the City paying the remaining <br />$2,441.50 out of the General Fund, if the City is - for the program.
