COUNCIL MINUTES JUNE 24, 2002 Motion carried unanimously. Councilmember Reinert moved to adopt Resolution No. 02-61, Awarding the Sale of $2,110,000 Taxable G.O. Improvement Bonds, Series 2002B. ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT REPORT, DAN TESCH Consideration of Resolution No. 02-62, Pledging Support for a Voting Equipment Grant Application — Ann Blair, City Clerk Blair advised a Voting E e ' . ment Grant Account was created in the State Treasury to provide grants to political subdivisions i esota for the purchase of precinct based optical scan ballot tabulation equipment. City Clerk Blair indicated, in March of 2000, the City purc ` ed s Accu -Vote machines, one for each precinct. However, the voting equipment grant is •p. 'ty for the City to purchase a "back-up" unit for that election day when a system br • awn. The cost of an Accu -Vote system is $4883.00.
