Bids were opened ugust 1, 2002 for the project. City staff would recommend that the project be <br />re -bid early next spring under m e favorable conditions. <br />Community Development Director Grochala advised City staff recommends the adoption of <br />Resolution No. 02-91, Rejecting Bids for the Black Duck Lift Station. <br />Councilmember Dahl recalled the City Council has put this project off in the past due to high bids. <br />She acknowledged that only two bids were received this time, but noted that costs go up each year. <br />She requested confirmation from Community Development Director Grochala whether in his <br />judgment he believed re -bidding this project next spring is a viable option and that the City will likely <br />receive better bids. <br />Community Development Director Grochala stated he and the engineer on this project had both <br />agreed that this was a poor time of the year to request bids and that re -bidding early next year when <br />32 <br />
