CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION SEPTEMBER 18, 2002 <br />S. TRAPPER'S CROSSING DRAINAGE ISSUES, JIM STUDENSKI AND <br />MICHAEL GROCHALA <br />Community Development Director Grochala stated there are drainage issues specifically <br />in S. Trapper's Crossing as well as throughout the entire City. A letter has been sent to <br />all builders regarding erosion control measures being in place by Monday, September 23. <br />The City will withhold all permits until the erosion measures are put in place. The City <br />also sent out letters regarding non-compliance. Staff wants the erosion measures in place <br />before the clean up work is completed. Some builders are refusing to do the work, which <br />may cause legal action by the builder or City. Staff is still trying to get Mr. Hokenson out <br />on Durango Point. Staff can issue him an ultimatum if Council gives staff that direction. <br />Community Development Director Grochala reviewed the background of the drainage <br />issues on Durango Point noting Mr. Hokanson had previously agreed to re -grade the area. <br />However, several years ago, Mr. Hokanson did receive a letter from the engineering firm <br />that indicated all criteria on the project has been met and accepted by the City. He added <br />he does believe that drain tile and a top layer of sand and rock'," • ', resolve the drainage <br />problems. <br />Mr. Kurt Byron, 1150 Hudson Trail, came forward%and distributed copies of a petition <br />that is being passed around by the residents.
