Councilmember Dahl stated she would have liked to see that in <br />writing from Anoka County since Lino Lakes has provided a letter but now the County is asking for a <br />resolution. However, Anoka County has not provided anything in writing on what they will or will <br />not do or when it will be done. <br />Councilmember Dahl stated she would like to wait since as it sits now, she is not ready to say yes. <br />She stated she would like the matter tabled since staff is still waiting for a letter from Anoka County <br />and she would like to see exactly what Anoka County will agreand when. He explained at in discussions he had with Anoka County representatives, it was <br />asked whether the Council had adopted a resolution in support. Community Development Director <br />Grochala stated he said no but they were looking at doing that. Anoka County had commented to him <br />that for a project of this magnitude, councils typically respond with a resolution. <br />Community Development Director Grochala stated Anoka County did respond to the City's plans <br />with a simple response that the plan previously submitted was not acceptable and they would still go <br />forward with the compromise design to reduce the right-of-way from 120 feet to 100 feet, the <br />roadway width from 84 feet to 68 feet, and through design efforts utilize landscaping on the southern <br />portion from Birch Street to County Road J to incorporate and support a lower designation of speed <br />limit to allow for removal of the median south of Birch Street. He explained this was not considered <br />north of Birch Street since design parameters did not dictate the removal of the median and there are <br />few access points so the median would not create access problems.
