• <br />• <br />• <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION JULY 6, 2005 <br />APPROVED <br />1 Mr. Hayes stated he welcomes comments from the Council and those comments can be <br />2 funneled through City staff. <br />3 <br />4 INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS FOR LEGACY AT WOODS EDGE, <br />5 BOB MOBERG OF SEH INC. <br />6 <br />7 Community Development Director Grochala advised this item is on the regular agenda <br />8 for the Council meeting Monday night. SEH Inc. is present this evening to provide an <br />9 overview of the proposed improvements. Staff is requesting Council action to approve <br />10 the plans and authorize advertisement for bids. <br />11 <br />12 Mr. Bob Moberg, SEH Inc., reviewed a map of the proposed improvements noting the <br />13 Hartford Development is not being included in the proposed improvements at this time. <br />14 <br />15 Mr. Moberg also reviewed a map of the proposed sanitary sewer improvements as well as <br />16 the road reconstruction projects included in the plan. Work on the project is anticipated <br />17 to being in fall 2005. <br />18 <br />19 Mr. Moberg advised a retaining wall would be constructed from City Hall along the <br />20 roadway for approximately 150 feet. The wall will not be seen from the roadway or <br />21 development. <br />22 <br />23 Approving Plans and Specifications and Authorizing Advertisement for Bids, Legacy at <br />24 Woods Edge Improvements, will appear on the regular Council agenda Monday, July 11, <br />25 2005, 6:30 p.m. <br />26 <br />27 Mr. Jason Snyder, owner of Bobbie & Steve's Gas Station, introduced himself and stated <br />28 he is happy to be in Lino Lakes and is looking forward to being involved with the <br />29 community. <br />30 <br />31 COUNTY ROAD J / HODGSON ROAD MASTER PLAN UPDATE, JEFF <br />32 SMYSER <br />33 <br />34 City Planner Smyser stated he would like to update the Council on the County Road J / <br />35 Hodgson Road master plan. The main issue with the project is where the infrastructure <br />36 will be constructed. Staff has put together a concept plan and held an open house for <br />37 residents in the area. The open house was very successful. Based on the comments <br />38 received at the open house, the concept plan has been revised. TKDA is working on <br />39 those final revisions. Staff is discussing the revised plan with residents. The sewer and <br />40 water route is the most challenging aspect of the plan. <br />41 <br />42 City Planner Smyser noted a developer is looking at the possibility of developing a senior <br />43 assisted housing project on the property north of the 49 Club. The developer would like <br />44 to know if the Council is supportive of that possibility. <br />45 <br />
