CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION SEPTEMBER 21, 2005 <br />APPROVED <br />• 1 included in the Mitigation Plan will prevent potentially significant impacts from <br />2 occurring as a result of development in the AUAR area. <br />3 <br />4 Councilmember Carlson requested definitions of the LOS (levels of service) within the <br />5 AUAR. <br />6 <br />7 This item will appear on the regular Council agenda Monday, September 26, 2005, 6:30 <br />8 p.m. <br />9 <br />10 VILLAGE OF HARDWOOD CREEK LLC UPDATE <br />11 <br />12 Community Development Director Grochala advised representatives are present to <br />13 provide an update on the Village of Hardwood Creek LLC. He noted the Planning and <br />14 Zoning Board are currently reviewing the Comprehensive Plan amendment request. <br />15 <br />16 Mr. Greg Hayes, Village of Hardwood Creek LLC, distributed a draft Theme Book that <br />17 was previously distributed to the Planning and Zoning Board. He noted the development <br />18 team has also been working in the background in relation to the AUAR process. <br />19 <br />20 Mr. Hayes reviewed the Theme Book noting the plan includes 80-95 acres of open space <br />21 and approximately 10 miles of trails. There will be a more detailed traffic analysis <br />22 conducted for the project. Much more detail will be provided when preliminary plats for <br />• 23 the project are submitted and reviewed. <br />24 <br />25 Mayor Bergeson recessed the meeting at 7:23 p.m. due to a storm. <br />26 <br />27 Mayor Bergeson reconvened the meeting at 7:47 p.m. <br />28 <br />29 MEMORIAL SUGGESTIONS <br />30 <br />31 City Administrator Heitke advised Councilmember Carlson requested this item be placed <br />32 on the agenda. Staff has had many suggestions for a memorial in honor of Officer <br />33 Silvera. <br />34 <br />35 Chief Pecchia stated he has discussed this issue with other cities. Their recommendation <br />36 was to wait 6-12 months before having a discussion regarding a memorial. The City <br />37 should defer to the family wishes and give them time to grieve. <br />38 <br />39 Council determined this issue would be placed on a future Council work session for <br />40 discussion at some time in the spring. <br />41 <br />42 RECONSTRUCTION COMMUNICATION PLAN <br />43 <br />44 Community Development Director Grochala advised on September 13, 2005 the City <br />• 45 Council approved a resolution Calling for an Election on the 2007 Street Reconstruction <br />
