COUNCIL MINUTES OCTOBER 23, 2006 APPROVED • 1 rights to a hearing and waives their rights to appeal under the Lino Lakes City Charter and/or 2 Minnesota Statute 429 provided that the assessment associated with the improvement is levied against 3 their properties. The City is prepared to adopt the assessments for the individual properties that 4 requested connection to City utilities. 5 6 Council Member O'Donnell moved to approve Resolution No. 06-163, as presented. Council 7 Member Reinert seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. 8 9 Consideration of Resolution No. 164 to 170, Adopting Special Assessments for Developer and 10 Improvement Projects — City Engineer Studenski noted a list of development projects that are 11 substantially complete, and therefore City staff is prepared to adopt the assessments accordingly. 12 Each developer has reviewed and approved the assessments, respectively. 13 14 Council Member Stoltz moved to approve Resolution No.'s 06-165 to 06-170, as presented. Council 15 Member Carlson seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. 16 17 UNFINISHED BUSINESS 18 19 There was no Unfinished Business. 20 21 NEW BUSINESS .22 23 Consider Approval of October 9, 2006 City Council Meeting Minutes (a portion of the meeting 24 was closed) Council Member Reinert was absent — Council member O'Donnell moved to approve 25 October 9, 2006 City Council Meeting Minutes, as presented. Council Member Carlson seconded the 26 motion. Motion carried with Council Member Reinert abstaining. 27 28 Accepting Donation from Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 6583 to Defray Cost of Annual Safety 29 Camp, Julie Bartell — City Clerk Bartell advised the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 6583 had made a 30 contribution to the Centennial Fire District to defray the cost of the annual Safety Camp. In 31 remaining consistent with past practice, staffs recommendation is for the Council to accept the 32 donation of charitable gambling proceeds from the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 6583 in the 33 amount of $1,000 and authorize the issuance of a check in the amount of $1,000 to the Centennial 34 Fire District to be used for the annual Safety Camp. 35 36 Council Member Carlson moved to accept the donation of charitable gambling proceeds from the 37 Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 6583 in the amount of $1,000 and authorize the issuance of a check in 38 the amount of $1,000 to the Centennial Fire District to defray the cost of the annual Safety Camp, as 39 presented.
