(A full overview of the reports had been <br />20 provided at the council work session.) The audit included review of the City's financial transactions <br />21 and reporting in 2006 and is conducted with accepted auditing standards. The City has been the <br />22 recipient of a certificate representing excellence in financial reporting and that standard has been <br />• 23 upheld in this year's audit. The audit report also includes reports on legal compliance, internal <br />24 control and management issues. <br />25 <br />26 There was a request to staff from the Council for detailed information on development escrow <br />27 accounts, including who owes, how much and for how long. <br />28 <br />29 The Council commended finance staff for achievement in the area of award winning financial <br />30 reporting and urged submission of this year's report for award consideration. <br />31 <br />32 Council Member Reinert moved to accept the 2006 Audit Report as presented. Council Member <br />33 O'Donnell seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />34 <br />35 ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT REPORT, DAN TESCH <br />36 <br />37 There was no report from the Administration Department. <br />38 <br />39 PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT, DAVE PECCHIA <br />40 <br />41 Conditional Offer of Employment for Vacant Police Officer Position — Captain Strege reported <br />42 that the City has gone through the recruitment process for the position of police officer and a <br />43 recommendation is being forwarded to extend a conditional offer of employment to Heather Meyer. <br />• 44 <br />
