Silt fence shall be <br />placed as directed or approved by <br />the City Engineer prior to <br />construction to provide for erosion <br />control. Additional silt fence <br />shall be installed during <br />construction as deemed necessary by <br />the City Engineer or Public Works <br />Director to address site conditions. <br />Subd. 2 Clearing & Grubbing. Areas which <br />will be disturbed by street <br />construction shall be stripped of <br />all vegetation, trees and topsoil. <br />Acceptable topsoil may be <br />appropriately stockpiled for reuse. <br />Subd. 3 Utilities. Sanitary sewer, water and <br />storm sewer construction shall be <br />completed prior to or in conjunction <br />with street construction. <br />Subd. 4 Compaction. The subbase and gravel <br />base shall be compacted to a minimum <br />of 1000 of standard proctor density. <br />Pavement shall be compacted by the <br />ordinary compaction method. <br />Subd. 5 Connecting to Existing Streets. <br />Connections to existing paved <br />streets shall require a straight <br />edge cut and tack coat applied prior <br />to paving of the new street. <br />Subd. 6 Bituminous Paving. Successive <br />pavement construction shall be <br />tacked to prior work in accordance <br />with Mn/DOT Specification 2356. <br />Subd. 7 Turf Establishment. Work required <br />for turf establishment shall be <br />completed during the same <br />construction season in which the <br />streets were rough graded. <br />Subd. 8 Testing. All tests herein required <br />shall be taken by an accredited <br />soils testing laboratory. Tests <br />shall be paid for by the developer <br />on a developer installed project. <br />Tests will include but not be <br />limited to: <br />
