PART 3 — EXECUTION <br />3.01 Deck Repair/Replacement: <br />A. Remove obsolete roof penetrations (verified by facility personnel.) <br />B. Remove and replace existing deteriorated decking to match existing deck as <br />directed by the Architect/Engineer, if found to be damaged. Provide unit price. <br />3.02 Rough Carpentry: <br />A. Install nailers, where required, to match height of new insulation, as detailed. <br />B. Install nailers for curb extensions, as required, for minimum curb height of 8" <br />above new membrane. <br />3.03 Insulation: <br />A. Install insulation in accordance with specifications and details, joints butted tight. <br />Note: All joints are to be staggered and offset 50% from the previous layer. <br />3.04 Membrane/Flashings: <br />A. Single Ply Membrane: <br />1. Install a 60 mil, fully adhered EPDM roof system. <br />2. Install EPDM flashing to all penetrations, perimeters, and wall sections, as <br />detailed. <br />3. Install EPDM boots at pipe and plumbing locations. <br />3.05 Plumbing Work: <br />A. Replace all missing or damaged drain covers and bolts. <br />B. Auger all interior roof drains at completion of re -roofing to ensure working order. <br />3.06 Sheet Metal/Flashings: <br />A. Install new 24 -gauge, pre -finished sheet metal counterflashings at curbs and <br />perimeter locations. <br />B. Install 24 -gauge, pre -finished sheet metal on expansion and control joints where <br />indicated on detail drawings. <br />C.
