2.05 Substitutions: <br />A. Approval Required: <br />1. All products proposed for use, including those specified by required <br />attributes and performance, shall require approval by the <br />Architect/Engineer before being incorporated into the work. <br />2. Do not substitute materials, equipment, or methods unless such <br />substitution has been specifically approved in writing for this work by the <br />Architect/Engineer. <br />B. "Or Equal": <br />1. Where the phrase "or equal" or "or equal as approved by the <br />Architect/Engineer" occurs in the contract documents, do not assume <br />materials, equipment, or methods will be approved as equal unless the <br />item has been specifically approved for this work by the <br />Architect/Engineer. <br />2. The decision of the Architect/Engineer shall be final. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 Timing of Submittals: <br />A. Make all submittals far enough in advance of scheduled dates for installation to <br />provide all time required for reviews, securing necessary approvals, possible <br />revisions and re -submittals, and placing orders and securing delivery. <br />B. Submittal Review Time: <br />1. In scheduling, allow at least ten (10) calendar days for review by the <br />Architect/Engineer following the Architect/Engineer's receipt of the <br />submittal. <br />C. Delays: <br />1. Delays caused by tardiness in receipt of submittals will not be an <br />acceptable basis for extension of the contract completion date. <br />D. Architect's/Engineer's Review: <br />1. Review by the Architect/Engineer shall not be construed as a complete <br />check, but only that the general method of construction and detailing is <br />satisfactory. Review shall not relieve the Contractor from responsibility <br />for errors which may exist. <br />E. Authority to Proceed: <br />1.
