Section 02 41 19 <br />ROOF DEMOLITION <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 Description: <br />A. Provide all labor, material, equipment, and tools to prepare the existing roofing <br />system for re -roofing as specified in this Section. <br />B. Provide for the proper disposal of all materials to be removed as identified in the <br />specifications or on the drawings. <br />1.02 Scheduling: <br />A. Coordinate the roof preparation work with the new roofing work in such a manner <br />as to keep the new insulation and roofing materials, building, and building interior <br />absolutely dry and watertight. <br />B. Coordinate all work with the Owner and Architect/Engineer to minimize any <br />disruptions of the Owner's operations. <br />1.03 Disposal: <br />A. All debris shall be stored in containers approved by the Architect/Engineer. <br />B. Keep Owner's property clean of any construction debris. <br />PART 2 - NOT USED <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 Protection of Surfaces: <br />A. Contractor shall take all precautions during roof preparation to protect the <br />building and adjacent surfaces from being soiled or damaged. Exercise special <br />care at openings through roof and at roof edges. <br />B. Contractor shall protect existing roofing that is not scheduled to be removed with <br />minimum 3/4 inch thick plywood protection board. Any damage to existing roof <br />shall be repaired by Contractor. <br />C.
